NerdCon: Stories 2016

Digital and tabletop games are a wonderful ground for expressive storytelling, but they come with unique difficulties. With so many moving parts and precious little space for words how do you tell a deep and interesting story without interrupting gameplay? Jonathan Ying (Game Designer and Author) and Daniel Lovat Clark, (Lead Narrative Writer at Fantasy Flight Games) will explore the techniques such as flavor text and mechanical theming to create expressive narratives that are holistic with the art and design of a game.
